Default C&R / NFA in Lower Salford?

Filling out my C&R paperwork, and considering working up to some short barreled and/or quieter family members. Haven't met any of the local LEO yet, and wondering if anyone here has had good or bad experience with stuff.
    Thanks in advance.

Good luck trying to get the Montco. Sheriff to sign off...I doubt it's going to happen. Montco isn't exactly gun friendly. Now if you were in Chester Co. you wouldn't have any issues with the signature.

You should probably consider going Trust/LLC route...that's what most do in Montco.

I thought I had to go through local PD, or is it local for C&R but Sheriff for NFA?

The new sheriff of Montgomery county (Sheriff Behr, appointed in May) has said that she will sign NFA forms, and had done so as Chief of Police for Whitemarsh. Hopefully she'll still be there after November, but get your forms 1/4 in soon just in case.
