Default New "home" for my Stag 2TL...

Don't get me wrong, I love my Stag... great quality, great price... and it's a lefty. But, the case that came with it use almost useless. Flimsy and doesn't latch well at all.

So... I grabbed this off eBay for $160 nib (awesome deal). Storm iM3300. This thing is incredible! Waterproof, fantastic latches, wheels and lightweight. Also meets airline guidelines for air transport. If you are looking for a new case this is the one to get.

Cool Re: New "home" for my Stag 2TL...

hey jrfreak, i'm a lefty as well been looking at the stags for awhile. i was wondering how it's working for you? most info i've gotten has been positive. all my current ar's are righty's, it works but that brass flinging out the side just makes pull my vision of the sights(annoying to say the least). nice case by the way it's important to keep your investment safe. happy shooting be safe, red dog

I still haven't shot it yet. Got it over the winter and it hasn't stopped raining long enough to get to the range.

Once I do I'll be sure to post a review.

I second that on the cases that come with stag rifles. I love my model 2T but the case that came with it quickly got demoted to storage of paintball gear. Great choice on the pelican case, I have a few of those in different sizes.

I have the same one. I got mine LNIB from GunDealer online, the owner of the shop had bought it and tried to do cut outs for his gear and he said he botched it pretty bad. So it was missing the middle section of foam. Lucky for me, some of the parts that get shipped to my work come protected by 1in by 5ft square sheets of nice grey foam........Freebie!

I was looking at the Pelican and the hardigg side by side and I liked the latches much better on the Hardigg. The Pelican latches will come undone if they catch on something whereas the Hardigg you have to thumb the little button and then pull up to release. The Pelican does seem to have a sturdier shell than the Hardigg though, it's a fiberglass type with large reinforcement ribs on the Pelican vs a straight plastic and less built in rigidity on the Hardigg (Storm)

Incidentally, Pelican bought the Hardigg Storm line out and took some of their inovations, (like latches) or so I hear. Hense the Pelican-Storm branding that you see now on the websites.
