glockparts.com
Looking for a very specific Lone Wolf threaded barrel (LWD-17THBLK) for my G17 in blued finish sans retarded wolf head that they seem to imprint on everything within a 50 mile radius of their plant. Found it "in stock" per glockparts.com's web page and ordered it with a thread protector. I've been looking for this barrel for a while and it is ALWAYS out of stock EVERYWHERE. I was, ummm, excited to find it anywhere.
Cons; Part not in stock even though the web page said it was. There was seperate shipping charges for the barrel and the thread protector. The barrel had to be shipped express with insurance and you could ship the protector any way you wanted. This was a known problem with the website, I called about it and they said they would only "charge me once." Thanks.
Pros; Someone did call me and tell me the part was out of stock. I had them cancel my entire order and credit my CC (I did not see the charges or a credit to my card-YET). The caller said the web page is only "about 95% accurate as to in stock parts." Being in the 5% club didn't make me feel warm and fuzzy about this vendor.
Overall, I'll be taking my bussiness elsewhere. Perhaps I'll call in the future to make sure things are in stock before I order.Last edited by FLICK; May 17th, 2011 at 07:16 PM.

Re: glockparts.com
i usually call first to make sure an item is in stock before ordering anything on-line. if no phone number to call i don't order from that webpage regardless how bad i want the item or how hard it is to get. seperate charges for the barrel and end cap is BS...there's no reason why they need to be shipped seperately other than to pad the profit margin. it's crap like that, that would turn me off from ordering anything from that company.

Re: glockparts.com
FYI- it's been about 6 hours since I placed my order and they still list the item as in stock.
That's the coolness........
I've gone from waiting until june to replace my order to black balling these guys. YMMV.I don't watch shark week. Sharks watch FLICK week.

don't know for sure what your looking for in a barrel but you can now get threaded factory glock barrels, granted they are more $ but they have glock markings.

Re: glockparts.com
Yep, about $20-30 dollars more than Lone Wolf...and....OUT OF STOCK!!
If anyone knows of a vendor that has a blued threaded barrel for a G17 without the stupid wolf's head (!) for a reasonable sum, please let me know. Thanks.......
Suppressor build on hold.
