SA doesn't make their own magazines, they're either CMI, MecGar (Hi-cap IIRC) or Metalform (Professional). Yours will likely come stock with 7 round CMI magazines, which aren't bad but nothing to write home about. The 8 round mags shown on their website look to be CMI as well.

Most 1911 folks have a preference for certain magazines, I like Wilson's myself, but Wilson, Chip McCormick, Novak and Metalform all make a good magazine. Tripp Research Cobramags and their off-shoots are hype in my experience, I have 5 of them and they're the only magazines that have ever made my 1911's jam up or fail to lock the slide back (though it was only a handful of times) so I wouldn't spend the extra money on them again.

For an 8 round mag, I'd go Wilson (and Wilson for 7 rounders too) or the 8 round Metalform Elites (or The SA FBI config for 7), for 10 rounds I'd go McCormick. I've never used a Novak magazine, but people do tend to rave about them these days.

I've got 8 and 10 rounders from Wilson and Chip McCormick. They are the only ones I trust. I tried some other brand years ago and was disappointed.
