Is it legal to use eltronic device for locating Turkey

Now I know that One cannot use any electronic device to hunt for turkey, but can One use a electronic caller to locate, of course not during hunting hours. What I referring to is going out the evening before and without any firearm, and try to locate their roosting area's the evening before the hunt, ?????

I would say not. I mean your not allowed to spot for deer during deer season. Same circumstances IMO.

Game law chap 23 suchapter A sec. 2308 has the entire law. a. General Rule except otherwise provided in this title it is unlawful for any person to hunt or aid, abet,assist or conspire to hunt any game or wildlife through use of. The law goes on to name electronic recorded sounds and devices. Now otherwise stated furbearers. I would say you very well would be charged becuase you are aiding you hunt by locating but. I am not a WCO or a lawyer

I also forgot to mention but in a few weeks turkey hunting will be sunrise to sunset so there is no time to roost a bird outside the hours of hunting except on Sunday.
