Awww - Shucks!!

I think the core problem with Philadelphia is that the PPD has bought into this myth as well - and they have engorged themselves on the power trip it provides... they whole-heartedly believe and promote the idea that they are the only rightful ones to keep the city safe...
And like most myths, the reality of the city crime rate proves again and again that it just isn't a valid perspective... The only way for Philadelphia, or anywhere, to truly be safe is for every citizen to take self-protection, family protection, and societal protection seriously personal...
We _ALL_ have the Right & Responsibility to Keep America Safe!!!
Convincing others of this concept will go a long way toward evaporating the objections to regular citizens carrying firearms including the Open Carry of them.
This might be worth re-reading...
The Cost of Freedom has always been high.

Poor CA gun owners are on the road to lose the ability to OC by the passage of Ab144 yesterday.

Re: Constitutional Open Carry - Think about it!
Removing the need for LTCF in Philly might be a first step towards that goal. Right now Philly is using the excuse that since you need the license then they can stop to check.
During the rally I specifically asked the Lt (his name escapes me at the moment) when the Philly PD would recognize that OC is an innocent activity in the same regards as driving, a license is required but you don't check every driver on the street. If I recall correctly his answer was pretty much never.Porsche, there is no substitute

Re: Constitutional Open Carry - Think about it!
Excellent post. It never ceases to amaze me that people get so offended over the sight of an OC'd weapon.

Re: Constitutional Open Carry - Think about it!
So true, and a great post. I believe strongly in the 2A as im sure everyone else here does as well. Thats why when someone was pounding on my GF's door, and trying to gain entry the other night I had her dial 911 while i kept my 9mm trained on the door they were trying to enter! The LEO commended me on my actions that night. I felt the responsibility to keep her, and her home safe from harm.
PS: It ended up being her Ex-boyfriend who was drunk and angry that she had a new man in her life.
Thanks again for the post. With your permission I would like to copy it and email it to some people i know who don't understand how the police work vs. keeping yourself safe.... and yes, they are very liberal minded.si vis pacem, para bellum
