Terror Watch list and guns
247 People on Terror Watch List Bought Guns in 2010
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/04/28...buy-guns-2010/
More than 200 people suspected of ties to terrorism bought guns in the U.S. last year legally, FBI figures show.
The 247 people who were allowed to buy weapons did so after going through required background checks as required by federal law.
It is not illegal for people listed on the government's terror watch list to buy weapons. For years, that has bothered Sen. Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J., who is trying again to change the law to keep weapons out of the hands of terrorists.Last edited by streaker69; April 28th, 2011 at 06:27 AM.
Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Re: Terror Watch list and guns
Suspected doesnt equate to actual terrorist. They could throw anyone's name on that list if Lautenberg got his wish.
Besides, wouldnt this just mean they should be watched even closer?

Re: Terror Watch list and guns
That 'terror watch list' is a load of crap! I have a buddy who owns his own company in Oklahoma. He's been in business for twenty five years in the same building. He travels the world designing and building chemical dispensers for concrete plants. He is a Deacon in the local church, donates huge sums of money to charity, coaches little league teams. He is on the 'list'. Why? Because his name is Gary Smith. That is all! Should he now be banned from his 2a rights for this?

Re: Terror Watch list and guns
The whole due process thing has bothered Lautenberg for years.
Him, Bloomberg, and Schumer have been pushing this for years now.
They're all big pieces of shit that need to be flushed into the sewer where they belong.
I'm probably just over reacting. I'm sure I'll be able to just pick up the phone and tell my buddy Frank that I'm not a terrorist and to kindly remove my name from the list, and all will be well again.
Just as easy as when Kenedy did it...no problem.
These people are criminals and constitutional terrorists.Last edited by God's Country; April 28th, 2011 at 10:54 AM.
