Snubby holster?
So i got this new snubby(Taurus Model 651) with shrouded hammer.
My original intention was to just slip it in my pocket(and it fits my pocket with no issue, with no snag), but I'm thinking some time to time I may want to holster it, in case I wear pants with small pocket.
what kind of holster option do I have for this?? Can I get some idea?

Re: Snubby holster?
I'd contact Robert Mikas. His holsters work very nicely for pocket carry.
Here's his site:

I suggest you use a holster for trouser pocket. If you want to slip it into a coat or jacket pocket, I'd go sans holster.
How do you like that 651?

Try Bell Charter Oak. Both myself and my wife (she's a LEO) use Lefty's holsters and they are quality goods. Good Luck!

Re: Snubby holster?
You can also try the DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster, they are pretty inexpensive and work really well. I have one for both my 2" and for my Glock 27 and they conceal real well. Just remember that you cannot wear skin tight pants when you pocket carry, Also a pocket holster will prevent premature wear of your pants pockets.

Re: Snubby holster?
Its fun.
I've only shot 38special out of it so far.
After shooting 35 or rounds of 38special, my hand was hurting.
I can't imagin shooting full 357magnum load out of this.
I guess what'll happen in the future is I'll shoot 38special to practice, then shoot few .357mag out of it...Audemus jura nostra defendere

Re: Snubby holster?
I found that the Nemesis in pocket worked well for my snubby. I also use an Uncle Mikes In Wastband when i'm wearing jeans. Appendix carry is most comfortable for me.
I would avoid breaking the bank on holsters until you find where and how you like to carry it.

Re: Snubby holster?
Get some type of holster for it. Even for a revolver, it's not smart to carry any gun in a pocket with nothing protecting the trigger.
I agree with WhiteWolf. Get something inexpensive right away and then you have time to shop and try out several different styles without feeling like you have to buy something expensive right away.
The folklore is everyone has a drawer full of holsters they don't use trying to find the one they really like.
I don't quite have a drawer full but I do have several.
PS: that's a really nice looking revolver. How well does it shoot?Last edited by Philadelphia; December 23rd, 2007 at 09:45 PM.
