Default What's the most you ever paid for a transfer?

Recently traded a gun with someone and took it to a local gun shop only to find out after the transaction that the costs would be over $70 each! Are you kidding me? Most places I know of only charge $25.00. I wish I would have asked ahead of time... Live and learn!

I will never again do my business with Horseshoe Pike Gunshop in Cambletown, PA. and highly recommend you look elsewhere too. Their gun prices are outrageous as well.

Was at local gun shop last week. The guy behind the counter said they charge 30$ for walk-ins. That's when I asked if it would be cheaper of I drove my car through the front window. He didn't think that was funny.

$20-$25 is the most I've paid for just a transfer, $5 is common for in house purchases.
If I'm not familiar with the shop I always call ahead or ask before I even fondle a gun. Nothing pisses me off more than finding a good price on a gun then having to tack on an excessive transfer fee.

$20 is the most I've paid, but I have only done one transfer. I know a few places that have a difference in price if it is a internet order, but that's only $50 compared to walk-in of $25

$100 was the most I paid, but it was for a Form 4 transfer for a select-fire Sterling Mk 4 SMG.

$300 at the Golden Trigger -- for three guns ... $100 per gun.

$40 FTF. But places around here charge even more if it is not FTF, like if it was from gunbroker or through the mail.

I was once given a bill for $60 to do a transfer for a handgun from Gunbroker. Once. Never went back into that shop.
