Is a 18" AR-15 considered a class III/UFA weapon?

no, unless it is an automatic, or 3 burst round rifle. 16" is the shortest barrel you can go with without extra legalities or fee's

I'd like to add that you can have a 14.5 inch barrel with a flash hider permanently attached to bring the overall legnth to over 16"

debated on adding that, but didn't since it was mainly referenced to the 18" barrel.

Unless the OP is referring to OAL of the AR. Clarification OP? Then again that would be a small ass AR.

I was referring to the barrel length being 18".
