    Default SHOOTING IN PA

I WILL BE TRAVELING TO PA FROM DOVER NEXT WEEKEND. WE WILL BE STAYING AT THE NELSON RUN CAMPGROUND. MY FRIEND HUNTS THERE DURING THE WINTER MONTHS. WE WANTED TO DO SOME SMALL CALIBER PLINKING WITH OUR DAUGHTERS, IS THIS LEGAL IN THE AREA? HE IS A POLICE OFFICER IN DOVER DELAWARE AND WE ALSO KICKED AROUND THE IDEA OF BRINGING OUR HANDGUNS TO SHOOT A FEW ROUNDS. I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY HELP THAT COULD BE PROVIDED

    WHY ARE YOU YELLING?

Seriously, though, if you're camping in a state park, it's illegal to target shoot.

This would be Nelson run near Austin?

Your best bet would be to find a safe secluded spot somewhere within the state forest. Provided you have a good backstop, and you are not within a state park, town/borough, I don't think you'll have a problem.

You certainly won't be first flat lander’s to come to Potter co and blow off some rounds. The camp ground may be of some assistance as well.

As far as the handguns, it would be best if you have a reciprocal Pa carry permit to be safe

Thanks for the advice. The person who answered the phone at the campground was nice, but not very helpful. I think we will leave the handguns home. Maybe just a few small rifles.
