Default Kahr cw40 or something like it....

So Im trying to pick out a new carry pistol. I was thinking Kel Tec pf9 until I held one. Today I looked at a Kahr cw40. it feels pretty good in the hand and is small. Im looking for something in this general size. Ive also been looking at a Sig p239 and a SA EMP.40.
The Kahr is smaller, lighter and about half the price. I want to stick with .40 since my other pistols are .40, unless the size is so small to make it worthy of a 9mm like I thought the pf9 may have been.
Ive read some bad reviews of the Kahr but it seems mostly to be due to people not reading the directions and not re assembling them improperly. Most of the reviews are very good.
    Any opinions please?

    Been carrying a CW40 for a little over a 18 months.
    Great pistol.
The disassembly is a little weird, but it gets better with familiarity and wear on the takedown pin over time.
Awesome trigger, very accurate, and very small.
The felt recoil is less than my full framed smith in 40SW.
    Hope that helps, good luck

Have you seen the CM9? same size as a PM9 but much less expensive.

Here is my range report and some pics of mine. I posted last week in-case you missed it.

I also have a CW9 and it has been 100% as well. I am really impressed with my Kahr's.

My primary carry gun is the Kahr CW-40. I cannot say a bad thing about it. Had 1 or 2 jams through the first 100 rounds and was all smooth sailing from there. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with this gun.
I also just picked up a DeSantis Sof-tuck IWB holster for less then $20 for it - match made in heaven.

The CW.40 is my has been my CCW weapon for a bout two years now and I have never had an issue with it. It's very accurate, light, slim, and shouldn't be a problem for concealment if you are a bigger guy. For me though it is a little too big to conceal during the warmer months since I'm a small guy. I'm actually looking into the P380 with a Crimson Trace laser to use as a CCW weapon during the warmer months.

Not to hi jack but what is it about the CM9 that makes it cheaper than the PM9?

Laser etching instead of roll marking, MIM slide stop, less slide milling detail, conventional rifling instead of polygonal, and it comes with one mag. (Kahr mags aint cheap.)

Or refer to this handy chart as it pertains to the CW series, but same idea.

Los makes these great size compairison charts.(They are exactly the same size and weight.)

The differences are a non-issue as far as quality and reliable function. Another mag is about $30. Night sights and CTC laser are also available for the CM9.
