Re: Ruger's new 1911
meh...
So another middle priced entry level 1911.
As if we don't have enough manufacture making them...
I'll take Springfield Loaded 1911 over it anytime.
But one thing that bothers me about Loaded 1911(or SA low to mid level 1911 in general) is that its manufactured not in USA, where as Ruger would likely be..Audemus jura nostra defendere

Re: Ruger's new 1911
Everybody else makes one Ruger might as well join in. I wonder what Ruger twist they have added to make the gun more Rouget/Ruger like. From the picture it looks like a pretty gun. I wonder if its going to follow its No. 1 single shot Rifle very expensive imho or reasonably priced center fire revolvers/sa pistol?

Re: Ruger's new 1911
I'm excited about it. I really liked all the Rugers I've owned so far it would be amusing if they plastered a billboard of scribble on their 1911 as well It would be a deal breaker for me though if they tried to modernize it with extra safeties, locks or chambered round indicators.
