The new extractor came in today and dropped in nicely. The PT1911 works like a charm now!

Please forgive the video quality - I was testing some new settings and working with my webcam stream. I will have to make sure to use my real camera next time for any filming, and get the aspect ratio right.

None of my 40-55yr old Colts or 73yr old Remington Rands ever needed a new extractor.

So, the sights came in, the extractor seems to work great - so guess who is back in the saddle?

Glad to hear your 1911 is up and running again. 1911 is what I've been carrying lately.

One thing: At 3:03, you chamber a round. Then at 3:07, with a loaded chamber, your right hand (index finger) is covering the muzzle, with the thumb safety clearly in the 'fire' position. Your left middle finger is sitting on the grip safety (doesn't look like it's depressed all the way though). I'm not doubting your knowledge of safety. Be careful, that's all.

I could have only avoided this constructive criticism by turning the safety on before rotating the weapon. :-p
