Cheapest gun transfers in the area
OK, post'm if ya got'm.
I Think, Fredricks, over the Blair county line into Bedford does them for $10. But thats like a 45 minute drive from Altoona. Really not worth the drive, especially if the other person is from even farther. I went to Pioneer in Altoona and Ebensburg hunting and fishing and they were like $31. I think East Coast is $25. I THINK Riggles Gap is like $60, I'm not sure about that though.
Please tell me theres someone in the Blair/Cambria county area that does a transfer at $25 or less.[account deactivated]

I always went to Fredericks. They're good people & I enjoy dealing with them.
They're honest & friendly. That means something to me.~ Luke... Come to the dark side... We have cookies! ~

Re: Cheapest gun transfers in the area
The Handgunner in Topton does them for $20.00 and it's worth mentioning that he is also reasonably priced on everything he does. Repairs, supplies etc. One of the best. I wish he was closer to the Reading area.
Gun Trader in Reading charges $49.00 to transfer your on-line purchase you have shipped in to him. Salty. Not sure if he charges the same amount if you walk in off the street with one needing a transfer. I think that might be $35.00 but I'm not sure.Johnnie F.

Re: Cheapest gun transfers in the area
Northern storage and supply in juniata near the railroad does them for $20. I can confirm the $20 cost as of Dec 2012 but someone told me they bumped it up to $25. I have not confirmed the price jump yet
