I apprehended a 20 year old today

I just want to share todays events with everyone



I had to work in Maryland today and decided not to take my pistol.

i worked all day and started driving home.

Well i got to Greencastle Pa and while traffic was stopping i to hit my brakes slowed down and stopped.

Then BOOM the guy behind me rear ended me.

No big deal i pulled to the side of the street to exchange insurance info. Well the guy passed me, Turned right and begin to flee

Well wrong person to hit and run, I gave chase

called 911 and gave them his plate number and my location

then the dumbshit runs a stop sign and makes a left

i call him dumbshit beacuse the police station is on that street. I see 2 officers and tell them "that green car just hit and run come on!" I take off again after the driver he ran another stop sign well he came to the main road where traffic was stopped, I then proceeded to drive around his car and put my jeep between him and freedom he had no where to go. The police arrived less than 1 min later and arrested him

the driver had insurance

the officers then searched his car and found a pipe and weed
the 20 year old driver didnt have a license and was high as a kite the officer told me

he will be charged with hit and run, driving without a license, paraphernalia, simple position of the refer, DUI and maybe other charges. He will also loose his job because of all this.

he could have just pulled over and exchanged info but he didnt.

Never underestimate scared animals or people they will do all sorts of dumbshit



luckily the police where there when i needed them


I didnt need a weapon today
but it just goes to show that crazy shit happens

I usually carry everyday. Today is the closest ive came to needing a gun for a long long time and i didnt have it, this wont happen again

Yeah it tuned out good

he bent my traitor hitch so he may have bent my frame but no body damage to my jeep, his sunfire of the other hand got smashed up enough its hood crumpled

ill have to see what the body shop says

Right now it happens to be a large pintle hook.
Saved my rear bumper twice now.

I am glad everything worked out fine. I personally think you are crazy for pulling in front of this kid and "freedom" . You never know who is in the vehicle and why he is trying to flee. May have been a wanted man for something much worse than hit and run. His last chance at freedom may have been shooting into your vehicle while you were "blocking" him in.

Yeah I have to agree here, especially figuring the police were minutes away and enroute, with no firearm to defend yourself as needed it could have ended badly. Glad it didn't.

While happy with the outcome, I have to express that fact this could have gone bad soooo easily.

Guy could have been armed, and could have shot you when you cornered him
You could have gotten in an accident while you were chasing
You could have gotten sitation for speeding(during the chace-I'm sure he was speeding)


You had his info, and cop was on the way. I'd let them corner the fucker instead of risking myself.

But with adrenaline pomping, I prolly done the same if I were you....

once you get the LP, give it up. People run from stuff like that for a variety of reasons, from the stupid DUI or no licence to people with warrants for rather serious offenses.
