I followed up with an email to Bucks County Solicitor Glenn Hains last Friday:

Sent: Friday, May 06, 2011 6:40 PM
To: gdhains@co.bucks.pa.us
Subject: RE: Firearms Prohibition in Bucks County Parks
Mr. Hains,
As of this evening, Ordinance #95, Section 31 (A) prohibiting the possession of firearms on the properties of the Bucks County Department of Parks and Recreation is still on the Department’s website. Has this been resolved?

This issue has not yet been resolved. Any change to an ordinance requires Commissioner approval and such approval can only be granted at a Commissioners’ meeting. I’ll let you know what is the final decision. Glenn Hains

^ That was fast.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

Re: Bucks County Parks and Recreation Preemption Violation
Great news.
Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to get out of work to attend the May 18th Commissioners' meeting in Doylestown. Does anyone else plan on going?

Re: Bucks County Parks and Recreation Preemption Violation
I will try although the 18th could be tough, not like you can run up to Doylestown on your lunch break from Lower Bucks but maybe I can block off the whole day.
Do you know the time & exactly where ? Never been there beforeJesus is Lord !
