No new updates, but I did get the following email from Bucks County Solicitor Glenn D. Hains today:

I followed up with an email to Bucks County Solicitor Glenn Hains last Friday:

    From: [kcr121]
    Sent: Friday, May 06, 2011 6:40 PM
    To: gdhains@co.bucks.pa.us
Subject: RE: Firearms Prohibition in Bucks County Parks

    Mr. Hains,

As of this evening, Ordinance #95, Section 31 (A) prohibiting the possession of firearms on the properties of the Bucks County Department of Parks and Recreation is still on the Department’s website. Has this been resolved?

    [kcr121]
Today, I got the following response from Mr. Hains:

    From: Hains, Glenn D. [mailto:gdhains@co.bucks.pa.us]
    Sent: Tuesday, May 10, 2011 3:12 PM
    To: [kcr121]
Subject: RE: Firearms Prohibition in Bucks County Parks

This issue has not yet been resolved. Any change to an ordinance requires Commissioner approval and such approval can only be granted at a Commissioners’ meeting. I’ll let you know what is the final decision. Glenn Hains
So, it looks like we should be focusing on the Bucks County Commissioners:

    Charles H. Martin
    Commissioner Chairman
County of Bucks, Office of Commissioners
55 East Court Street, Doylestown, PA 18901
    Email: chmartin@co.bucks.pa.us
    Phone: 215-348-6426

    Robert G. Loughery
    Commissioner Vice Chairman
County of Bucks, Office of Commissioners
55 East Court Street, Doylestown, PA 18901
    Email: commloughery@co.bucks.pa.us
    Phone: 215-348-6424

    Diane M. Ellis-Marseglia, L.C.S.W.
    Commissioner
County of Bucks, Office of Commissioners
55 East Court Street, Doylestown, PA 18901
    Email: CommEllisMarseglia@co.bucks.pa.us
    Phone: 215-348-6425

The next public meeting of the Bucks County Commissioners (according to this page) is:

May 18, 2011 *** Meeting Time Changed to 11:00 am***
    Bucks County Courthouse Community Room
    55 E. Court Street, 1st Floor, Doylestown

Note the following in the informational section at the top of the previous link:
There may be an evening Commissioners’ meeting in the summer months at one of the County’s parks.
Sounds like a perfect opportunity to challenge a preemption violation to me, if there ever was one.

    ^ That was fast.
While many claim to support the right, precious few support the practice.

    Great news.

Unfortunately, I probably won't be able to get out of work to attend the May 18th Commissioners' meeting in Doylestown. Does anyone else plan on going?

I will try although the 18th could be tough, not like you can run up to Doylestown on your lunch break from Lower Bucks but maybe I can block off the whole day.
Do you know the time & exactly where ? Never been there before
