Not anytime soon enough..

I'm not aware of whether there are other cases seeking this via state or federal routes.
I've not heard anything on the executive front.
And do we even have such a bill before our current session of the General Assembly?

It's an unwieldy moniker for a state of absence of a law generally prohibiting a, or all, form(s) of carry by prohibition or licensing. Unfortunately, often no distinction is made as to whether the status is simply because of the whim of the legislature or because of constitutional supremacy, and is often said without regard for other more specific laws inhibiting carry. Sometime, the term is used careless to involve only ONE type of carry, either CC or OC.
