Default JP reduced trigger springs for AR

Does anyone have experience with these? I just ordered a set. Supposed to reduce the trigger pull to around 3.5-4lbs. I was wondering if effected reliability at all. I don't really see why it would but just curious.

I have the yellow light weight springs on my hammers and trigger in all my ARs, I have the JP trigger kit in one of my ARs that AR is just about all JP parts other than the upper and lower receiver. I never had a problem with any of them, and it does lighten up the trigger a bit, depends on how the trigger is to start with but there is a noticable diffrance with just the springs.

only problem you might have is if you shoot ammo with hard primers and the yellow hammer spring. it might not set them off. Ive never had any problems with the yellow hammer spring and I have the JP light weight hammer in there to.

I just wanted to tell ya, I was reading your reply and looking at the full picture of your AR, beautiful by the way, and my 3yr old girl looked at it and said "Daddy, can I get that gun?".

thank you, only thing I want to do yet is get a diffrent scope for on it. Im looking at the horus scopes right now just need to save up to get one for on there.the scope that is on this one is going to go on my 6.5 grendel that Im building right now or maybe the other way around depending on how the 6.5 shoots. but i dont see me shotting the 6.5 to often even with reloading for it its going to cost an arm and leg to feed that since the brass is so expensive for it.

I would say save your money and go with a quaility 2-stage trigger. I recently put a Geisslel SSA in my LMT and all I can say is wow, what a great trigger.

I was looking at $20 vs $200. Is it really 10x better?

If money is a huge concern you could try this maybe? No experience doing it personally. Although I thought about getting two extra factory springs and trying it.

I've done that and it works. I did, however, have failures to ignite on south american surplus ammo.

I suspect that lightening the hammer would help ignition, but due to having several Jewell triggers around, I never got to experiment.

This is why I didn't do it yet. I shoot Russian ammo in all of mine. (That are 5.56/.223) And the odd ball AR pistol shoots surplus Tokarev.

All of which is not your perfectly set, American boxer primed ammo and I figured I might have trouble.

Yep it really is 10X better IMO. Plus with reduced power springs there is a chance of some ammo not firing.

I also think these triggers can be had for 170.00 if that helps.
