Re: Knob Creek -Who is going?
KNOB Creek- watch on utube. Bring earplugs and good boots. Watch the main line, 15 years to get a spot there. The rental range is down over the hill, rent what you want I recomend the hk51&53. Lean into it. Buck a round or so to rent. A lot cheaper than buying one. Run the jungle walk with a F/A uzi.Check out the sub gun competition.Lastly the range is cold from 2 to 5pm. go to the gunshow buy a tshirt, machinegun and stuff you will not find anywhere else, get some pizza then check out the nite shoot. Go to the rivergirls lounge on the way to Marks feed store on the dixie highway. Or camp in the the most armed campground in the USA. Look for me I'll be in camo- wont be hard to find!

Re: Knob Creek -Who is going?
Whats the over/under on whether it will be a big mud puddle again this year? Backing up what mike_g said, get boots that are not only comfy, but also waterproof - just in case.
Some day I hope to make it down, would love to participate in the Jungle Walk but I have zero experience with moving and firing full auto. Only limited to indoor ranges here in SE PA, and they start freaking out if I start transitioning from one lane to the next with a SMG. Go figure!
(kidding of course)

Prepare for the worst at The Creek, mud bowl/dustbowl, one or the other.
This year im thinking mud.
The Jungle Walk is nothing. You can take your time at each station or move through it with speed. If youre doing it for fun, dont worry about the time, just have fun shooting an Uzi. My first walk was my first time with an Uzi, but i had fired other sub-guns. It was no problem at all. I would love to go back with my Max11.
Mike, get a bowl of Burgoo for me at Marks

Re: Knob Creek -Who is going?
I went last Oct. and wanted to go in Apr. but it was not in the cards, my son is stationed at Ft Knox and got deployed again in Jan to Afghanistan. The shoot is only about 13 mi from the base, and I stay at his on base quarters. The ammo deals are the best around and Firearms beyond description, everything from Gatling guns to 50 cal HMG's and everything in between.

Would have gone there but went to a suppressor and subgun shoot the week before, which was quite satisfying.
