Driving through PA , question on restaurant carry.
In Ohio we are not allowed to carry in any restaurant which has alcohol. (think applebbe's quaker steak, or friday's) My question is what restrictions if any are there regarding carrying in such an establishment in PA? We are driving in to Somerset to pick up my siter-in-law, and will be eating somwhere around there. I have my PALTCF and my OLTCACH. Please advise.
Also if pulled over in PA Do i have to inform the officer that I am carrying like Ohio requires?
Thanks! -TomCurrent City:Ashtabula County, Windsor, OH http://www.youtube.com/tglassburner

Re: Driving through PA , question on restaurant carry.
You may carry anywhere not prohibited by the food establishment owner in PA. No law against carrying and drinking in this state. Also no duty to inform a LEO if stopped.

Thanks JTWAlker for the quick response. I am really hoping that OH passes the current HB45 that would allow us to carry as long as we are not drinking, or intoxicated.
Are you allowed to enjoy a beer while armed or is it no drinking while armed?Current City:Ashtabula County, Windsor, OH http://www.youtube.com/tglassburner

Yes. If you are open carrying, it may not be perceived well by establishment and IMO it's probably not a good idea to get stinking drunk while carrying open or concealed. But if you obey owner's rules/requests, leave when/if asked, PA will welcome your out-of-state money spent in our drinking establishments.

Pennsylvania also has none of Ohio's bizarre rules on how you must carry in a vehicle. You could dangle it from the rear-view mirror if you wanted, but that would probably cause other problems . . .
