One of the takeaways is that you look like a total tool telling a random person to "get on the ground." You probably want to go easy on the verbal commands, unless they're threatening you with a weapon and you really are in a position to shoot them if they don't comply.

Police can get away with it due to three factors: the uniform makes it look like they have the authority; they practice acting threatening; and we secretly suspect they're sociopathic enough to shoot someone for no good reason. The key is really selling the idea that you're just liable to kill them if they don't do what you say.

The guy should, at a minimum, lose his LTCF and his DL, as should the pursuer.

Are you saying it's moral or ethical to try to run over protesters or to draw on someone chasing you with a camera in a car based on their point of view?

Or that it's moral or ethical to run them over/draw on them if they act immorally or unethically in protesting your actions (assuming the protestors did cross the line in blocking cars or whatever)?

Obviously assholery is not a crime, however it does account for many visits to the ER and/or Cemetery.

Not excusing the brandisher but it's pretty stupid to go to one of these things and act like a moron and expect the other side not to do the same.
