    Default .410 derringer

I forget the company(linead or something like that) but iv seen them for under 100 bucks on gunbroker. For fun shooting, nothing else its perfectly priced for giggles, I was thinking about getting one. How do they hold up to use and can u actually hit anything with it?

I know its cheap and im not looking for anything great just a fun little thing. I just dont want it to blow after 1 shot or to not be able hit the broad side of a barn

It would depend on the make and model. Bond and American Derringers are the best made on the market. Everything else comes after that in varying degrees.

The cheapest are typically Lienad/Cobray/FMJ(all the same company, just under different names). I've owned just about every model of their derringers ever made. Never a problem with them, but they tend to have some sharp edges along the side plates.

Cobra derringers are junk six ways from Sunday. Most are made from Zinc alloys, including the barrel. ...zinc alloy fractures very easily.

so the ones made by cobra are junk or cobray??

I dont want to spend much on one since it is a novelty(like a 2mm pinfire) thats why i was looking at the lienad. Just for fun at the range and hitting those damn crows/grackle
when i feel like it. Can u actually hit anything with them? The bird ranges would be 10 to 20 feet max, most in the 10 foot range

Cobra is junk. Cobray is a little bit better, but not top notch like Bond Arms or American Derringer.

The shot spreads fast, very fast. The only safe place is directly behind the gun. Expect patterns as wide as 18" at 10ft.

They are more intended for rodents as close as your feet are from your hands at your waist.

I have a Corbray side by side. My dad got it a long time ago for s&g.
Neat to shoot. nothing i would carry for SD.
    Shooting a 45LC is a bit more interesting than a .410
