Re: Goods for Guns program - Allegheny County
Does it say anywhere what happens to the guns...especially the long guns. I love to put some kind of a transponder in the stock of a fairly descent shape rifle (ie: a Remmy 700) that has been shot a few times, but other wise perfect. Then, track what happens to it. There must be someone on here that knows if that would be possible.

Re: Goods for Guns program - Allegheny County
Hello, i can't say for sure that all the guns that are turned in end up here, but i worked in maintence at the EDGAR THOMPSON STEEL PLANT in braddock, pa. allegheny county. Every year, the state police and the allegheny county sherriffs office would bring a large van into the plant and they would unload barrels of firearms into the charging box and dump them into the bop shop vessel for melting. i am talking about hundreds of firearms.
