The NRA is not a gun rights organization. They are a firearms and ammunition manufacturer lobbyist. Their primary goal is to protect and increase sales, not protect our rights. Sometimes it's a side effect of what they do, but it isn't their primary motivator.

When you click on link to send the petition to your senators just enter your contact info, and the letters will be emailed. After that is completed you have the option to send the petition link to friends and family if you wish.

Typical of the NRA they want to compromise and negotiate some middle ground.

It is my position that the entire agency needs to be scrapped. They have operated for too long in violation of "shall not be infringed".

I am aware that if that happens (which I think is a long shot) the individual agents will be absorbed into other alphabet soup agencies. Frankly, it is time to do away all of those as well. The Constitution does not provide for any police powers. They are all un-Constitutional.

As an Oath-Keeper you should know that.
I agree with you 100% I was merely providing a source for crimes this treasonous agency has commited in the past.
The same opinion is pretty much reflected over at Oath Keepers as well.

The NRA can not be counted on for much of anything more than just asking for additional money. I was a life member until about 2003 when they began to work with the ATF on yet another compromise of some sort. I had 2 queries I wanted answered and they didn't even show the courtesy of acknowledging receipt of my letters. I guess if there isn't a check in the envelope they chuck it in the round file.

We the people need to start forming militias and training. I am not clear on PA law with regard to this but it seems worthy of investigation. Are there any folks here on the forum knowledgeable in this aspect of state law? Maybe Gunlawer? MJDschool? PaPatriot? gbrontz?

letter sent, clearly stated putting Travers in charge at ATF is like putting a grand dragon of the KKK in charge of the NAACP.

Or as laughable as having one as a Democrat senator in recent times! Ha ha! As if they'd do such a thing!

Forget about stopping Traver from gaining this position. Shut down the ATF. Now is the opportunity of a lifetime. They have repeatedly demonstrated a disregard for rule of law. Budget cuts would end this gang of thugs reign of terror if hearings on criminal violations are investigated.
It seems like the Gunwalker Scandal is the vulnerable spot that needs to be targeted.

Obama and his administration are approaching the matter in a somewhat clever matter. They know that if they cause too much of a stir too fast it will ignite very strong opposition. They plan small changes, a little at a time, so that people are not all motivated to resist at once.

-First just ban hi capacity mags for rifles... the Concealed Carry people won't mind that.
-Second ban large calibers... the .22 competition shooters won't mind that.
-Third ban handguns... the hunters won't mind that.
-Forth ban hunting rifles... the home defense people are too busy figuring out what they can still use inside their homes.
DIVED AND CONQUEROR IS A PROVEN STRATEGY.

The NRA, GOA SAF... and other organized groups are the only thing anti-gun groups fear because those groups have a sense of unity and organization. Bloomberg does not know me or fear me... he knows the NRA all right. So what if the NRA is also looking out for the interests of firearms and ammo manufactures??? I want to be able to do business and buy from those manufacturers. If the gun and ammo manufactures are all prohibited from doing business with the public where am I suppose to get my guns and ammo from? I need those guys in business. I want as many of them around as possible competing with each other and keeping prices low. A healthy firearms industry is in all our interests.

It's a tough call between wanting them to simply never bring him up so he never gets a chance to be installed versus wanting the hearing to be right now to make it the best possible outcome for us by making it the worst possible for them.

I thought obama getting another justice on the supreme court ( that replaces a moderate or conservativeone) was the most dangerous thing to a gun owner. This appointee of this clown to the atf is the next worse. I have called and sent letters. This is a game. what the socialist wants he gets. look at obamacare that is why we need to kick him out of office come 2012.

as an update i called DE senator Tom Carper and of course he sees nothign wrong with this guy being put into power in the atf. He even goes to mention his father was a gun collector. This dispute the fact that he voted to reinstitute the assault weopon ban and supports that idiot from new jersey's ban on high cap mags. Come on. This is pathetic.
