Does the Sheriff's Office ever answer the phone?
Rant On:
I've been trying to get through to the firearms division all damn day and it does nothing but tell me it's busy and disconnects. I must have tried 100 times so far. ANSWER THE FREAKING PHONE!
/rant
Had to vent. I'm trying to get in touch with them for the below:
So I think I might have a problem. When I applied a few days ago I sent them a copy of my current driver's license. Since I recently moved I also did the online license change form through the DMV. So basically I'm thinking that if they run my license it'll come up with a different address now.
Anyone know if this will be reason enough to deny me?

Hey - there was a wire down on my property a little over an hour ago. Allegheny 9-1-1 even gave me a busy signal!!!

It could be now that I think about it. Who knows what number I was being transferred to. I'll try them again tomorrow.

Re: Does the Sheriff's Office ever answer the phone?
I'm "412," but that was the FIRST time I'd ever gotten the "all lines are busy - please wait for the NEXT available operator message!"
No storms, snow, or fire sirens wailing in the distance when I called either. Damn oversized truck came down the street and snapped ANOTHER wire today, which was laying across my driveway. FD came by within 20 minutes and took care of it.

Re: Does the Sheriff's Office ever answer the phone?
The deputy in charge down there comes off rather brusque, but she is very efficient and WILL call you if there is an issue. I stated before that I had mine in 7 days start to finish, but I also had an issue to take care of regarding the paperwork. She called and told me there was an issue and was very helpful in directing me how to remedy it.
Don't hold me to this, my expirience may have been unique, but I really don't think you will have an issue. It takes 40 muscles to frown, but only 4 to pull the trigger on a decent sniper rifle.
