    Question LTCF Disqualifier Question...

So, my GF is on probation and gets off in June 2011 (3 months). She's on it because her EX-husband got her in trouble / arrested. Charge: retail theft / misdemeanor 1. She served 90 days. Paid off all of her fines. All this was back in 2007.

Can she get her LTCF when she finished probation or even own a firearm for that matter?

If she was convicted of an M-1 in PA, then she can't own guns ever again, unless she gets a pardon from the PA governor.

Thanks. She's turned her life around completely since she left her EX. So, she's gonna write a letter to Mr Corbett.

There's a formal process for requesting a pardon. I think that a letter would just get a form letter back, telling you to go through channels. You have to go through the 5-member Board of Pardons. I've assisted clients in this process multiple times, there's an art to framing the issues the right way.
