Re: Confrontation in Warminster on Video
Sounds like harassment to me. If it were me in the maroon ford I would have called the police about the crazies video taping me.
Go to shoot pigeons and have some fun.
Next time let me know when and where so I may join in the fun you anti SOB's!!
PETA - people eating tasty animals!!
Go spend your time helping the homeless in the city.

Re: Confrontation in Warminster on Video
I agree. That gun owner makes us all look bad! Escalating a confrontation is never a good idea, and pointing a firearm when there is no clear threat is assault.Citation on the illegality of such action? Are you "harassing" the police by videotaping them? Are stores that have CC surveillance "harassing" me when I'm on their property? I'm I "harassing" everyone when I video-tape my kids sporting events?

Re: Confrontation in Warminster on Video
I'm not gonna say what the guy did was right or wrong, that's not really my place. But I do find it curious that the tape only picks up in mid chase, we don't know why they're chasing him other than some assertions that he did something first.
If I were the guy in the maroon SUV I'd be concerned about someone chasing me through parking lots too.Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Re: Confrontation in Warminster on Video
Every single one involved in this are idiots. If they got his plates that's all that was needed, he endangered himself and his wife by getting out of his vehicle. Worth facing the barrel of a gun? No.
Now the guy who pulled the gun would have been convicted if he shot that person for sure, he stopped his vehicle and confronted the people following him and he was absolutely in no danger. It's unfortunate that this video made it to youtube, it certainly doesn't help any cause. The answer to a fool is silence.

Re: Confrontation in Warminster on Video
You mean INSTEAD of pulling a gun on the person following you I hope.
The fact that SHARK was following this guy is not the BIG issue as I see it. The big issue is that a gun was indeed pulled and it seems that there was NO threat of life and therefore NO reason to justify that guy drawing.
The man in the SUV got out and APPROACHED the other man. Did he have to? No.
Then the guy actually tells the SHARK man (at gun point) to get on the ground! Say what?!
I don't care for SHARK (or PETA) but that is NOT the big picture here IMHO.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6mK2JYfZAmA When will America become America?

Re: Confrontation in Warminster on Video
It does look very bad. It also looks like the guy with the gun pulled it because he got punched. Who knows what he thought was about to be done to him after being chased and then making the mistake of contronting his predator and then getting physically attacked.
Bad move all around, good chance not legally justified. And I don't know the story, but I can see how an old codger could have decided to draw in that situation. Rightfully or wrongfully, legally or not.
People don't like other people F'ing around on their property or in their neighborhood. I heard a very frightening story the other day about two guys that watched a kid scoping out cars and houses to break into for nearly an hour. Cops called several times, never came. They followed his ass, while repeatedly calling the cops, finally chased him down, demanded ID and then demanded he get in their car to be driven home. Now, this has fail and legal peril written all over it. But that's the way it was done when I was a kid, and I'm not even 40.

Re: Confrontation in Warminster on Video
That video is two blocks from my house. I want to know why the 'chaser' has not been charged with a stop sign violation and reckless driving. Also, the gunman needs his license pulled for escalating the confrontation. A slow leisurely drive to the police station while his passenger calls ahead and arranges a 'welcoming party' would have been appropriate.
I do not agree with shooting captive pigeons, but it is his right. I have a much bigger problem with him hiring and housing illegal aliens at his businesses. He ought to be in prison for that and then this incident wouldn't have happened.
