I think I would like to file a felony charge of perjury against these Senators. Do you think they would understand the implication?

Of course not. They still don't get it that input from the Philly gang is no longer needed. PA is back to being a free state now.

Is is just me, or isn't the state level restriction of firearm ownership questioning the right of the citizens to bear arms in defense of themselves and the State? Are you no longer a citizen of Pennsylvania after you have been convicted, let alone only charged with a crime? There really needs to be penalties for not upholding the state constitution when you have sworn to do so.

This bill would be unconstitutional based on due process IHO.

Yes, they do. That implication is the desired outcome.

I'm going to reach out to the ACLU on this one, since it's deserving of their attention and they'll understand the implications of it.

    OP, thank you for posting.

I fired off an email to my state senator (Jake Corman) about this and 619, 621 and 622. I'll follow up with a phone call tomorrow.

i know from experience the ACLU will not help you with gun rights even if your other rights have been violated as well. they tell you they oppose guns and that the NRA would be better suited to help you.

The ACLU has taken cases that could be consider "pro-gun" when other rights are involved, although they do so incredibly rarely.

Besides, I'm not looking for their help, just contacting them to see what the ACLU of PA's viewpoint on the legislation would be, if any.

I'm no fan of the ACLU's politics, but I do admire their willingness to cross traditional lines on principle - see this example of ACLU taking a pro-gun case.
