I know the folks that do that- they're not my favorite people, and we have a mutual agreement not to acknowledge the other's existence.
I have been down when there are no target holders whatsoever, and nothing to fashion them out of, so I shot a few clay fragments from the shotgun range. At least I have the decency to clean up the chips, though.
They left a LOT of huge chunks this past time.

When I'm done plinking at them, the chips are too small to be worth picking up. I'll keep going until I don't see any more orange.

I need your buddy to come back and spread around some more clay pigeon pieces. There was only one target stand between the two auxiliary ranges, so I finished them off pretty well tonight.

We just got back from Scotia.
I still do not feel as if my $30 was put in to good use, other then most empties on 25yd were picked up(could be from reloader tho).

There were one target holder on 25yd range, and one at rufle range.
My beer case is long gone.

I heard somewhere that they were supposed to open the main range this weekend, but it wasn't.
It wasn't busy tho. I heard from fellow shooter that the they were checking for range pass/lisence at around noon.
Road were still poo condition. Metal gate were open to allow traffic to flow.

IS there anyone from Springmills fish and game association? I have been considering joing them...

I was out there tonight. I expected it to be a lot more crowded for such a nice evening, but it wasn't. I wonder if it's seeing less use because of the permits or if it's because they're not keeping many backers available on the auxiliary ranges.

Or maybe it was just a lot busier earlier in the day?

Closing that road gate is stupid.

The walk is a hassle, but more than that I'd prefer to have my vehicle close by for security purposes. I don't keep anything in there worth breaking in for, but you figure any nefarious characters are going to guess that there might be something worthwhile in a vehicle at the range. If you have your vehicle down the road and out of sight, what could you really do about it, even if you were lucky enough to hear it.

I got there late tonight, but there was an attendant working with the main ranges open. Was that the new part time help? I think that's the first time this year I've seen the main ranges open on the weekend.

I was there Saturday morning, hours for the inside range currently are 11:00am to 7:30pm. Was there with my buddy for a hour or two and they never checked for passes. To busy mowing I guess.
