Default Last time I try to help

I was at wal mart tonight with Rob...and we were looking at shotguns for Rob. Anyway, I looked over to see this younger guy buying a rifle...so I notice that he has an air rifle scope. So I talk to him and tell him that the scope he's buying is for an air rifle...trying to help him....he looks over and said the scope "fits" and it's only $30, so if it breaks it breaks. I was debating on saying anything to him at all and he just proved that sometimes we should just keep our mouths shut. You cannot even try to help someone out this day and age. I don't know why I even bother trying to help some people.

    Alright, rant over.

I guess some people have to learn the hard way. Too bad.

Aubie, he was probably needing the extra money to buy some Tampax for his GF, remember this was at Wal-mart

i try to just plain avoid wally world all together. i've gotten pretty good at it, though first it took some work.

i had at one time bought all my pistol ammo there, till i found out that the extra dollar or so it cost me at the local shop for the same ammo, was worth it if it kept me out of wally mart.
it's only metal, we can out think it....

I think you make too big of a generalization and hope that this was not really the last time you tried to help others.

Everything I know comes from somebody else teaching me (books, teachers, friends, family, etc.). I know a lot about some subjects but it always amazes me how there is always somebody else out there that knows so much more.

Chalk it up to the guy being a jerk - or you not knowing exactly why he wanted that scope but keep helping out.

Hey, you tried to tell him. His loss, I wouldn't worry about it.

I bet it won't be the last time!

I have been rebuffed many times....I always try to help folks out also. What can you do...you try.

Anyone else notice that most times women take help and advice better than a man will?

boy, I sure wish there was more consumers like you in America. More and more locally owned businesses are closing their doors shortly after a walmart moves to town.
