Re: Droid firearms apps
If by "Droid" you mean apps that run on the Android platform, then yes, there are several good ones.
Remember, Droid is a trademark (owned by Lucasfilm, to which Motorola bought the rights) that refers to the Motorola Droid handset, that also happens to run the Android operating system.
The Android OS runs on many different handsets, tablets and even a few notebook computers (Pet peeve of mine, and many other Android OS enthusiasts)
The only Firearms related app that I have on my phone is called "Right2Bear" which has an overview of state firearms laws and reciprocity info.
But I'm always interested to hear about new ones!Last edited by lildobe; March 1st, 2011 at 04:13 PM.

It would be nice if someone would make a shot timer app like the iphone has.
I have a timer, but a backup would be sweet, as well as for those without a proper timer.

A ballistics calculator would be something else to look for. I just put GunSim on my BB a couple of days ago and am itching to try it. I bet you'd like it for your Droid.

Re: Droid firearms apps
For a free ballistic calculator, I like Strelok. It's arranged nicely in submenus so that you don't get lost in a list of variables. For paid apps there are a few out there that will plug in to NOAA and automatically input weather, but again, you've got to pay for those.
And there's those augmented reality games that superimpose cross-hairs and a push-to-shoot button on your camera feed. Good fun for those irresponsible types that I normally wouldn't trust with a firearm.

That first one IPSC Shot Timer is marked as being way too sensitive to sound - shame as it had the better looking GUI.

Just downloaded this one - probably won't get to test it soon though...FNX-9 Two-tone
