Default Another addition to the collection..

Went to the show at Bloomsberg fairgrounds this past weekend. Sold my "Lil Mule" AMT backup2 . Figured I was going to look for either a S&W mod 60 with a 3inch barrel. Well didnt see one, do then looked for a sig P238 in all black with rosewood grips, no dice. Then figured , humm maybe a Mossy 930 SPX tectical. Found a few but not in a configuration I wanted. So then started thinking the GSG or M&P15-22or ohhh the Sig 522..

Then for what ever reason this just caught my eye. I looked it over a few times. Asked some questions, fondeled her a little more. Then it stuck... I need another rifle for my KIDS...It was something cool and had that "wow"factor kids (and dad) liked.

So here is what I came home with..

Yup she is just a clone, but a nice eye catcher as well. It has a nice heft to it as being a metal upper and not as much plastic as the others. And has the cool SCAR look, Seems so far as to have nice lines.
The charging bolt can be moved to one of 3 locations on either side. comes with cheesy flip upplastic sights that are a little wobbly when flipped up. But they are neat. When in the down position they are 3dot pistol sights. Then flipped up, they are AR post front, peep on the rear. I think i might look another set that is a little more sturdy. Figured I will also look for a cheap optic in the tactical style. The main operator for this is going to be my 11yr. old son. I will post some more pics in a little bit..

Very nice, snert. Are you sure your son will be the main operator?

Chaos, It is made in Germany for a company in Australia, ISSC. They also make a clone of a Glock as well. Here is a cool review of it I found. Watch to the end for the last test.

LisaA, Yeah, its a 50/50 operator, We took it to the range yesterday to give it a whirl. Not bad at all I like it, BUT dislike the rear flip up sight. It is mounted tightly to the rail. But the peep post that flips up is wobbly/loose. or maybe the spring needs to be stronger. After a few round from the Mag, It would start to flop foward like it was trying to close.

Rifle is smooth as butter, But needs better sights in my opinion. I am going to look for some better flip ups this week. Once on and sighted I plan on doing a better range report.

Nice review on the rifle. Thanks for the link, Snert. I like the idea that it is a full metal gun - no plastic. Your review of the sights is a disappointment, though.

Did you call the company about the sights?

OK so just a quick note for those out there.

I called the company and told them about the rear sight flopping foward. They asked for my mailing address and no questions asked , sent me a new one...
They didnt even ask for the old one back . so guess chalk this so far so good.

I will be looking for a cheap optic that fits its style. Also thinking of a cheap bipod as well.

    Snert..
