    Default Sporting Clays This Saturday?

Anyone up for a sporting clay run? Not sure on the where yet, but we got options.

    So anyone interested?

Absolutely. Somewhere in the middle? So far this month I've shot at Rock Mountain (FAR from you) and Whitetail Preserve (pretty middlish). I'd like to try Lehigh Valley ...

Lehigh Valley is a really nice range - get there early though, as it fills up quick and can get slow if there are large squads.

I'd meet you there, but I'll be shooting pigeons up in Heggins. Well, hopefully I'll be shooting them, rather than at them and around them.

I was thinking maybe trying out Wing Point near Cabela's. Lehigh is another strong possibility.

I figure we can keep the location open until maybe Friday and then set the location? I have yet to break any birds for 2011. In fact my last time was in November at Pintail Point.

Anywhere within a 1-1.5 hour drive is fine by me. Longer than that, we're shooting it twice ;->

Wing Pointe is right on the edge of a casual drive, but that's fine. Next time, closer to me.

You have a PM with contact info.

    Rob,

My flight ran late and the wind is supposed to be high tomorrow. I am going to bail on the clay run tomorrow.

No problem, some other time. If you change your mind, I'll be at Whitetail Preserve tomorow or Dover Furnace on Sunday, depending on the weather. Maybe both ;->

Whitetail was excellent today, nice weather and the snow is all but gone. Didn't shoot that great (mid 70's) but had a great time.

    Argghhh!

Glad to hear you had nice weather to shoot. I knew it would happen like that. I said to my wife that we should just go out and chance it.

I am dying to shoot some birds, so I guess I have to use the old moto; "Shut up and shoot!"
