    Default Couldn't Resist Deal of the Day: S&W 629

    I picked this up today at Tanner's for $299. Needs a rear sight. Otherwise, it should be fine. How could I not buy it? :-)

    nice find though. I am sure that if you call S&W and just tell them the sight fell off it, they would send you a new one free of charge. Thats how awesome their CS is.

    I ordered the parts (sight and screw) from Brownell's: $61 for both. Original S&W parts. I fully expected to put few bucks into it, and I'll save my request for their CS if I really need it. Thanks though!

    i would call SW and tell them you bought a used gun without the rear site and see what they say. all they can do is sell you some sites, give you some sites or do nothing.

    Good idea, but I already ordered from Brownell's. I figured it's completely reasonable that I buy the sight and screw. But, it's good to know that S&W provides such excellent customer service!
