Default Knights SR-25 EMC ... the "Do Everything" Rifle

Post up your "Do It All" rifle...

Here's my latest purchase. I really feel that the SR-25 EMC is a true "do it all" carbine. The test target was 5 rnds of Remington Match that measured in at a 0.52" group. It easily fills the role of a precision rifle as well as being able to swap to a CQB/Battle Rifle role thanks to Larue's awesome QD mounts. Once funds allow I'll purchase an Aimpoint T-1 Micro in a Larue LT-751 ABSCO mount and have a rifle than can handle anything you could throw at it. PMAG's 20rnd 7.62 mags run great as well. Specs are below:

    Knights SR-25 EM Carbine
    Laure LT-112 PSR-20 QD mount
    Leupold Vari-X III LR M3 3.5-10x40
    Knights 600M Micro Rear BUIS
SOPMOD Stock since replaced with the Magpul ACS
    Knights Handstop
    Magpul Rail Ladder Covers
    Surefire Scout M600C
    BFG Vickers VCAS Padded Sling
    Pelican Case

    Enjoy!

    What, no can?

Kidding. Congrats on the nice stick. SR25 is fun to shoot. I'd like to have one some day but I have other projects that are taking priority.

After I pick up a T-1 my next purchase will be the knights suppressor for the EMC. Its pricey at about $1300 plus shipping, tax, transfer fees, and tax stamp...but should be well worth it. Then I need another 5.56 AR since I sold my two Colts to help fund this purchase. I'm thinking SR-15 E3 in keeping with the current theme.

I don't have a "do everything" rifle, but if I did, I'd imagine it as something very similar to that SR25... An AR10 of some sort with an 18" or 20" barrel. All I have as far as rifles go is an AKM and an AR15. Neither are "do everything" rifles.

The weight on the carbine isn't bad. With a light optic like a T-1 or a similar mini red dot its a little over 8lbs unloaded. That's only a tad heavier than some M-4's with go fast accessories.

How is the quality of the rifle. I know a man that is in the 75th Ranger Regiment that has said the one he has used has been quite tempermental, and I also know of someone who works for the DOD in weaponry has said the quality of some Knights stuff has been lacking. I myself have never shot, handled, nor worked on one of these weapons so I cannot myself comment, which is unfortunate. I usually do not go off of hearsay but, since you have one of these weapons, how do you find it to work for you? Any issues with ammo, components, etc?

Happiness is 5,000 rounds of match ammo.
