OMG, Joe the Pres may have said that if you fire one at somebody, the nylon stock will accelerate the bullet so much that it will take them down and the building behind them. And, it's Apache Black so it's an EBR!

I'm old enough to remember when those were first put on the market. As a materials scientist nerd I would be remiss not to mention that nylon does tend to harden with age, not sure of the exact formula Remington used for these, but I would worry about cracking in the future.

Not sure how the values of the 66 are holding up, they were steadily climbing for a period of time. Back in the day, I was a youngster on family visits to southern jersey. my cousins had one that we would terrorize anything we could find in the woods. Nothing better than old farmer dumps in the woods for reactive targets. Damn gun would fire any ole .22 round we could get our hands on. Thank goodness we had parents that knew there is no better way for young guys to learn the rifle than a .22. Serious fond memories of those times and yes they still come up in discussion over a beer now and then. It*s a shame what kids are missing out on these days.

Before there was the term “mag dump”, there was 14 rounds of .22LR as fast as you could pull the trigger on a Nylon 66. I still have one.

Always wanted one. Picked one up for cheap. Sold it for a profit. Wished I kept it.
