    Default h&k p7m8

I just picked up a p7m8and was wondering how many of us out there had one.
I had one when I was 21 and sold it. I'm 41 now and forthe last 5 years been waiting for the right deal on the right gun and bang there it was!!!
    ANYBODY?

    I have a P7 M10.

Great guns. Wayy to heavy/bulky for me to carry all day tho!

    FYI
The P7M8 was the issued side arm of the PA state Police for quite a while. They now use .45gap Glocks.

    I *had* a Chantilly P7M8, and also a Chantilly P7M13. I currently carry a Bundeswehr P7 "PSP" Sterling trade-in.
I sold the others because they were doing me no good sitting in the safe, but I did keep a mint, early Arlington P7 commercial model as a safe queen to caress every so often. My sons each "have" an NDS P7 Trussville "grade-A" trade-in.

    Congrats on the re-acquisition.

My 75% of the time carry gun for the past several years... And my favorite design ever...

Carries great in a VM2 or DelFatti ISP-4....

    Yup; I like the P7

    Regards,

    Bones

PS - I know the NJ PSP carried the P7M8 for years, but I'm not sure about what the PA Troopers carried... I don't think it was a P7 though...

I think your correct. Now that I am thinking about it, I think the PA state police used the 96d before the Glock. . .

PSP definitely carried 96 before the glock( one of my buddies is a trooper). Not sure what they carried before that.

Back in the day they carried 4" stainless Rugers in .357 Magnum.

Here's a page with photos going back to the 40s: http://members.verizon.net/jgyurke/gyurke_photos.htm

I have a P7 PSP and absolutely love it. Have changed carry guns often, but always come back to the P7. Yes, a little heavy being all metal, but nice and thin and rides close to body, and can't beat it for accuracy. Plus for me, it has the best safety system there is - only auto that I feel 100% safe carrying with one in the pipe ( I know, I know, no difference carrying one in the chamber on an auto vs a fully loaded revolver - just always worry carrying say one of my Glocks that obviously has no safety ). Enjoy !
