Re: Do you ever get paranoid?
I didn't think news choppers did spotlights though, do they?
Out here in Amish land, I've only ever seen search lights overhead once, quite a few years ago.
Guy went to his ex-girlfriend's house, waited for her to answer the door and then fired two shots with a shotgun through the door. Killed her, and took off, family members went into pursuit. The neighborhood in the area was pretty much in lockdown and the PSP chopper was in the air.
They never found him until 3:00pm the next day behind a dumpster about 2 blocks from where he shot. He was dead, I never heard how he died. My guess, he either committed suicide, or the family found him first.Rules are written in the stone,

Re: Do you ever get paranoid?
A couple of weeks ago we had copters flying so low over our house that the windows shook. It happened several times over a 2-3 week period.
They were going to the abandoned airport across the lake. P-11 Shooter went to investigate one night and they claimed that they were life flight practicing their landings. They were no identifying logos on the helicopters and the crew were not in any kind of medical uniforms.
How can an abandoned airport equate to landing in an urban environment?
Knowing how expensive for them to operate, how can they justify the fuel cost?
Why no identifying info on the copters?
Or medical personal involved?
Why only in the wee hours of the morning?
I am joining the paranoid group.

Re: Do you ever get paranoid?
Anyone remember an article out a while ago about the government wanting exact GPS coordinates for everyone's front doors? You know, so that the fire company can find your house.
What else can GPS coords be used for?

Re: Do you ever get paranoid?
I live right next to the willow grove base and we get everything flying over our house. I never got paranoid about them spying on me but more paranoid about them landing on my house. The base is closing this year so I think that the traffic is going to cease. When we had the willow grove airshow I would hate when the F18 would do menuevers over my house. Sometimes they were what seemed like only a couple of hundred feet above.
