Re: Chronographs
Competition Electronics ProChrono Digital Chronograph. About $120 from Midway USA. I've read all the reviews on all of their chronographs and everyone says this model is the cats azz!!!

Re: Chronographs
I second that. I have the Competition Electronics and I have been really happy with it. It is sensitive to funky light conditions, like being under a tree...but they all are. I had an Alpha, and accidently shot it (not surprising, if you consider what we are asking it to do), but I think the CE is a much better choice.

Re: Chronographs
I have had one of those for 16 years now and it has always worked fine and showed very similar velocities to other chronographs when tested with like loads and some of those others cost 4 or 5 times as much. The chronograph is a bargain but the crappy cardboard light system that you need to use it indoors, which I needed for my archery shop, is way overpriced at about $35.
I mostly use mine for archery and shotguns. I've also used it for handguns but I never put a rifle through it.The older I get, the better I used to be.
