LTCF expiration/renewal

My LTCF expires January 2012. How early can I apply for my renewal?

I believe you can renew up to two months before expiration. The DELCO Sheriff's web site says the same thing but has shown not to be a reliable source for good info in the past.

One of the guys who know all the statute numbers and stuff should be along with a mile long explanation of it all anytime now.

Sheriffs are required to send out a renewal app at least 60 days before expiration, but nowhere in the statutes does it actually say when you can renew.

So, it seems, it's pretty much up to the sheriff how soon he feels like renewing it.

4 years and 364 days before expiration or 1 day before... or anywhere in between.

Although most sheriffs, I would think, use that 60 day before expiration as a guideline.

And then of course you have the thing where the LTCF is valid 6 months after expiration, as long as you're still legally able to have it.

One other note, when you renew the date of renewal is the starting date of the new 5 years, it doesn't add on to the time you have left.
