Wyoming Senate approves concealed-carry bill
StoryDiscussionWyoming Senate approves concealed-carry bill
Associated Press The Billings Gazette | Posted: Monday, January 24, 2011 4:41 pm | No Comments Posted
Font Sizeefault font sizeLarger font size.CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Wyoming residents would be able to carry concealed guns without a state permit under a bill that has cleared the state Senate.
The Wyoming Senate voted 20-10 on Monday in favor of the bill, sponsored by Casper Republican Sen. Kit Jennings.
If the bill ultimately becomes law, Wyoming would join Alaska, Arizona and Vermont as states that don't require citizens to have permits to carry concealed weapons.
Supporters of the Wyoming bill say generally that the state and federal constitutions guarantee the people's right to carry guns. They also say criminals are already carrying concealed weapons.
Some opponents of the bill say they're concerned that it would encourage untrained people to carry guns. The bill now goes to the Wyoming House.

Re: Looks like residents in Wyoming won't need a permit soon!!
I lived out there for year in the mid 80s ~ June, July, August were the only snow-free months. The entire state population is barely larger than the Harrisburg metro area. I recall the sign heading north out of Casper saying "Last gas for 60 miles" Any kind of serious shopping required a trip to Denver or Billings though now with the interwebs who needs to drive anywhere lol.
Rugged country for rugged people ~ and they are a great bunch of folks out there but dang ya gotta love cold and snow and Bronco fans.Last edited by Maquis; February 5th, 2011 at 10:48 AM.

Helped move my mom out there in September and just fell in love with the place. Every time I talk to her now it seems like they are warmer than we are!! Beautiful country and good people out there.

Twice the mayhem, triple the force.
Ten times the action, total hardcore.
