    Default Camping in VA

The Mrs is planning the annual extended family camping trip....siblings, cousins, etc. Most years it is in PA....this year it will be in VA. So I think "Great. It will be my first chance to carry out of state."

Then she breaks "the news" to me. On the way home we will have to drop the daughters off at my parents house...in Wildwood, NJ!

I know that technically VA thru NJ to PA could be considered FOPA....but is it worth it?

Wouldn't you drive through NJ anyway to get to Virginia? So you would just be reversing the process. Deviating from the path a bit by dropping off the kids, but would that be considered unreasonable? And once you left your parents home, "if" you were asked where you're coming from your answer could be camping in Virginia. CSI doesn't really work like it does on TV, they wouldn't dust your tires and match it with dirt from your parents home.
Wildwood is right on the way anyway. (I had to use the bathroom.) I think if it's locked in the trunk, none is the wiser, and you are legal. (IANAL)
As much as you guys think over there NJSP don't have x-ray vision.
The answer to a fool is silence.
