Once again, you haven't the first foggy idea what you're talking about. Lautenberg, who introduced S32, and McCarthy, who introduced HR308, are both Democrats.

Ten seconds with Google would've told you that.

Senator Frank R. Lautenberg...party affiliations are generally isolated by a hyphen or parenthesis.

His heart is in the right place.
I'll vote for Romney when he promises not to run in 2016.

COSPONSORS(10), ALPHABETICAL [followed by Cosponsors withdrawn]: (Sort: by date)

Sen Boxer, Barbara [CA] - 1/25/2011
Sen Durbin, Richard [IL] - 1/25/2011
Sen Feinstein, Dianne [CA] - 1/25/2011
Sen Franken, Al [MN] - 1/25/2011
    Sen Gillibrand, Kirsten E. [NY] - 1/26/2011
    Sen Kerry, John F. [MA] - 1/25/2011
Sen Levin, Carl [MI] - 1/25/2011
Sen Menendez, Robert [NJ] - 1/25/2011
Sen Reed, Jack [RI] - 1/25/2011
    Sen Schumer, Charles E. [NY] - 1/25/2011

Not one of the cosponsors is a Republican. Thankfully.

Kirstin Gillibrand was supposedly a non-anti-gun NY Democrat, but it is now apparent she isn't.
