I remember all that stuff like it was yesterday. You could add two tone pink and black plymouths, terquoise tile in the bathroom, washing machines that had a spin cycle so you didn't have to put the clothing through the hand crank wringer, drive in movies....and noone ever thought about carrying a sidearm because it wasn't necassary.

In 1968 with my 'Muster out' pay, I bought a used '65' mustang. Red, convertible, with a Hurst 4 on the floor, shifter.

yep just proof the theaters are bending you over and raping you, if gas was .31... popcorn was .20 and soda .10.

so making that 3 bucks or so for gas today, that's basically 2 bucks for popcorn and one for soda.

last I remember being in the theater it had to be double that at least. I pity the 3 or 4 kid family man heh.
