    Default questioned on the street

So I was walking in downtown state college the other day. Two young girls stop me and ask the following:

    - Are you a student?
    me: no
-C an we ask you some questions for a class?
    me: what class?
    - It's sorta like an ethics class.
    me: ok.
    - Good. What do you do for a living?
me: I work on an organic farm.
    - Cool. Where do you live?
    me: near Port matilda.
    - Cool. What do you think of the gun law?
    me: Which one?
    - Oh you know, the one about Tuscon. You know about Tuscon right?
me: Well, if you are talking about the 2A, private liberty, and the right to defend myself, then yea I know what you're talking about.
    - Ok.
me: I think if more people were armed in Tuscon, maybe he wouldn't have been able to shoot 30 rounds off before being subdued.
    - Oh, that's an interesting perspective. Thank you.

They walk off. Strangest encounter i've had in a long while. I think I scared them. I decided not to mention to them that I was carrying concealed hah :P

They walked off because you don't agree with them.
For the anti-gun crowd, there is no reason to converse with those who don't agree with them.

Unfortunately most of the individuals I went to school with were anti-2A. I can't imagine it would be any better at a place like PSU. The professors are big on brain washing....

If they didn't walk off , and they actually counted you, they wouldn't have been able to get their "overwhelming statistics" for more gun laws.

It all depends on what "College" you're in at Penn State. I've gone shooting with a few of my professors from the College of IST. Its also not uncommon to walk down the halls in that building and hear someone talk about a new AR that they're building.

With that said, I've also heard of a lib arts professor complaining because of police training with orange plastic molded guns in a parking deck.

I agree with that, and I think that is common at a lot of schools. Unfortunately the Departments/Colleges that are pro-2A are usually the smallest. I know at Millersville University I could talk firearms with anyone in the Occupational Safety Department or Technical Education (Wood Shop educators) but anything outside of that was a no go.

What do you expect from a lib arts professor? The only thing these asses should be teaching their students is how to say "Would you like fries with your burger?"

Assuming that they were college-age "young girls" you're talking about: Were they cute?

Two college students were doing a survey on a law and they didn't even know what law they were asking about?

    I weep for the future.

^That pretty much sums it up, right there.^
