Re: 1952 Russian SKS
It's not that they are bad, it's just that with a front sight tool, you can quickly adjust both elevation and windage to make sure you are sighted in. Here is one: Only around $4-5.

Your Russian SKS is gorgeous. I have a wood stock in my garage. If you are anywhere near York or Lancaster county, hit me up if you want it for cheap. But, under the name of 'liberalism,' they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened."

Re: 1952 Russian SKS
the sks has earned a respect from me that can never be broken. over the years i've had so many and not one has ever given me a problem and that SKS you have is very SEXY!!! you'll find that the russian have a mystique about them that can not be explained. If i wasn't already set up for an AR purchase a ruskie sks just like yours would be on its way to me.

Re: 1952 Russian SKS
Also. something to ponder. when you over hear people talking about how "cheap" the SKS is..... just think how much that exact rifle would cost if it was USA made. what $500, 6-$700? maybe more being that the builder couldn't make a dime from broken sks' i mean maybe 1 out of 15,000 sks' breaks maybe and all parts are interchangable so there are no "special order fees" you can't lose with an sks. i have even heard of tops scoring shooters in Appleseed using the SKS as their rifles of choice.
