    Default Taurus Carbine!?

Anyone else heard of this?? I was surfing the web and this site says Taurus will be releasing a Carbine in 9mm, 40 ACP and in 45ACP. Here is the site: http://gunmart.blogspot.com/2011/01/...ine-ct-g2.html

Yeah. saw it on the Taurus website when I was reading the thread about the 28 ga revolver they are making.

    See here.

I guess it's their version of the HK UMP...

The ATF has already said that that 28 gauge revolver is a short barreled shotgun. Of course the way it is it looks like you'd need a small team of people to shoot it.

I wish they would change the stock and add a flash suppressor. Not a huge fan. I may pick one up....maybe.

34+1 in 9mm that's pretty cool ... I've really never been a fan of the skeletonized stocks I'd like to see this with an unfolder and maybe a pistol version that'd be pretty badass

Yea that's it. I wonder if this is going to turn into another H&K-ATI type of issue. Oh well, buy one before they make them redesign it...I know it was just released but has anyone heard a release date or MSRP?

    Yeah. That too. lol

UMP... USC... I don't know what the difference is. I don't really keep track of things I am not likely to ever own.
At least with the Taurus, there's a glimmer of hope that it may be on the "affordable" end of the spectrum.

Is it just me, or does it look like a Hi-Point carbine was secretly screwing all the Taurus guns while on vacation in Brazil about 9 months ago?
Or perhaps it was while in Germany? Maybe HK put it up for adoption and Taurus just happened to be looking for a baby - even if it's an ugly baby?

I have read in two separate places so far from people who handled it and talked to the reps at SHOT show and they said the price tag was around the $700 mark....if that is true, no thanks.

I've always been surprised there isn't a better market for pistol caliber carbines, but I guess if manufacturers can't make a decent looking one that sells for less than a cheap AR they will always be a niche market.

Still waiting for a cheap MP40 clone...
