guns i shoulda bought
the decicsions you regret thread got me to thinking about guns that i should have bought over the years.
sure there were gun shop finds that i didnt jump on like the five screw s&w .44 magnum that was going for a song but i was looking for a 357.
i wish that i had grabbed a few of the brazillian surplus s&w 1917s 20 years ago when they were $100 each.
how about when woolworths was selling garands?
anyone else?

Re: guns i shoulda bought
Back in '90-91 when I was first getting into guns (but had no money):
NIB Nickel HK P7M13 for $900.
Transferrable full-auto HK MP5 receiver for $3,200.
M1 carbine for $150. (I thought they'd be that price forever)
Stinger .25 ACP "pen gun" for $99.

Re: guns i shoulda bought
Well I found out that my father sold his 6" Nickle Colt Python without informing me about 3 years ago...
For 300 dollars.
I was quite angered that he didn't let me know. He really dropped the ball on that one, and it was in a strangers lap instead of mine.Mostly browsing these days, and expanding the collection.

Re: guns i shoulda bought
Saw a Sig P232 at Gander Mt (of all friggin' places) for $299. Should have bought it just to turn it around and sell it.
Same Gander had a used Remington 870 Marine Magnum for like $285. Should grabbed that too.
Lol, funny thing is those idiots have like 7 used Glocks in their case right now all over $500. They also have a used Taurus PT-whateverthehellthenew9mmslimiscalled for like $50 over NEW retail. They never cease to amaze me.
One time I had a trade worked out for a Sig P220 for a guitar I never played anymore. I couldn't make it work, and that sucked.Selling off a a sizeable Spyderco collection here

Re: guns i shoulda bought
I regret not snatching up more AK parts kits back when they were cheap and had barrels.

Not pulling out the plastic at the CMP store when O3A3's were $400 and Garands for $500. And all the Mausers at Springfield Sporters.
