Finally added a 40 to the collection...

My first 40...

Snagged this up at a local gun show last weekend.

Israel Military Industries (IMI), Baby Desert Eagle, Semi-Compact Polymer 40S&W (Also known as the Jericho 941).

Looking foward to hitting the range this weekend and testing her out. From what I was able to find review wise prior to picking this up and afterwards its rated as a very well made and functioning firearm. It has a great feel and I look foward to see how it shoots.

Very nice! Once I bought my first .40 I was hooked. It is my favorite round and usually base my purchases around the caliber. Enjoy and post some picks when you get back from the range!

Well I got the chance to get to the range this weekend and put 100 rounds through her.

Wow I was impressed. I thought the polymer frame being on the light side a tad for a 40 that the recoil would be hard to hold onto (as i have small hands) but the grip profile and thickness has a great feel and allows me to have great control of the pistol. It shoot really smooth and the trigger is crisp and defined. So no guessing when its going to go bang. Its also well balanced in my handes. I did shoot some decent groups but still need more pratice.

Very pleased with this pistol and can't wait to get back to the range later this week with it again...

Gotta love the IMI stuff. Any nation that lives under the constant threat of hostile action by neighbors, that gave the world both the UZI and razor wire, and has mandatory military service at 18 for both men and women, will also produce some kick ass side arms...
